Honors Continue for Men's Soccer Coaches

The IU men's soccer coaching staff earned two more accolades Thursday morning, as Todd Yeagley was selected as one of four head coaches at the Major League Soccer Combine, January 11-15 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Chaplin, McGhee game-time decision vs. Nebraska Thursday

Seniors Sasha Chaplin and Jasmine McGhee are game-time decisions for Thursday's game against Nebraska after being limited in practice the past two days. IU Coach Curt Miller said Chaplin was able to participate in several non-contact drills to see how she was feeling, but neither Chaplin nor McGhee "truly participated in any kind of practice" Wednesday. Chaplin, who averages 13.4 minutes off the bench at the center position, is recovering from a mild concussion.

Todd Yeagley Tabbed As Top Coach

The Indiana University men's soccer team won their eighth national championship 29 days ago, and Monday, Soccer America named IU Coach Todd Yeagley as NCAA Division I Coach of the Year. There are 204 coaches eligible for this honor. "It's a nice honor," Yeagley said Tuesday by phone.

Indiana v. Iowa Preview

On the eve of the New Year, the IU men's basketball team will commence the conference portion of its schedule this season tomorrow as the Hoosiers travel to Iowa City, Iowa to take on the Hawkeyes. Iowa is one of the hottest teams in the Big Ten coming into conference play with an 11-2 record, including six-straight wins, and like IU, they have yet to drop a game at home. Also like the Hoosiers, though, the Hawkeyes haven't played the most difficult non-conference schedule.

Statement on Jeremy Hollowell's status

Here is the statement just released by IU Athletics about the status of freshman forward Jeremy Hollowell: "As he has for the last two games, Indiana University Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Fred Glass has directed the men's basketball program to withhold Jeremy Hollowell from tonight's game pending resolution of NCAA compliance issues.
