IU outscored Minnesota in overtime 13-8 at Assembly Hall en route to an 83-78 victory on Sunday.

The Hoosiers had the final possession in regulation, but failed to convert as senior forward Simone Deloach could not get a last second heave to fall in on time.

In overtime, IU and Minnesota exchanged free throws early in the five minute extra period.

Minnesota took over the lead when freshman center Amanda Zahui converted on a layup. Zahui gave the Hoosiers trouble all day, going 10-11 from the field and scoring 25 points.

Freshman guard Taylor Agler responded to Zahui's layup with a 3-pointer to put IU up by one point. Zahui again responded with a layup to put the Gophers on top.

Brooks would hit a 3-pointer with 53 seconds left in the game to put IU ahead 79-76. The teams exchanged free throws after that.

As time winded down, IU's defense forced Banham into missing a 3-pointer to regain possession. Brooks hit a pair of free throws on the other end after getting fouled to put away the IU victory.
