Although last Friday marked the first day of official practice for the IU men's and women's basketball teams, Friday night was the first time that a largely full Assembly Hall could catch a glance of a very different IU men's basketball team, including six freshmen and a graduate student.

Both men's and women's players highlighted the night with the skills competitions that drew the majority of the cheers during the more than two hours of action, including a 3-point competition and two-ball competition that included both the men's and women's teams. The dunk contest, featuring freshmen Devin Davis and Stanford Robinson and sophomores Hanner Mosquera-Perea and Jeremy Hollowell, capped off the skills competitions before the finale of the night, the inter-squad scrimmage.

Results for each skills competition are below:

3-point competition:

Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell (18 points) defeated Nicole Bell (17)
