The Big Ten Conference named IU sophomore first baseman Sam Travis its Player of the Week Monday, as the Orland Park, Ill., native hit .462 and drove in eight runs as the No. 17 Hoosiers swept the Iowa Hawkeyes to increase their winning streak to 15 games.
Travis, who picked up his seventh weekly honor from the conference, leads the team with 23 walks and is second in on-base percentage, reaching at a .487 clip.
