The No. 11 IU water polo team started spring break with a bang by going 4-0 in the Claremont Convergence and improving its overall record to 11-8. The Hoosiers defeated four Division III teams in the process, each of which has a top-five ranking in the D-III polls. It was IU's first undefeated weekend of the 2013 season.

On Friday, IU beat No. 2 Cal Lutheran 16-5 and No. 1 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 14-8. Then, on Saturday, the Hoosiers completed the weekend sweep by taking down No. 5 Occidental 12-7 and No. 4 Redlands 15-4.

Junior attacker Shae Fournier led IU in scoring on the weekend with 14 goals, while senior attacker Jakie Koehli and sophomore Shelby Taylor each tallied seven scores.

In the process, Koehli and Fournier both moved up IU's all-time scoring ranks. Koehli passed Nicole Redder's career mark of 206 (Koehli now has 212 goals) to move into third place, and Fournier passed Nicole Redder's 182 (Fournier now has 187 goals), good for fifth all-time. Koehli and Fournier lead the team in goals scored this season with 32 and 31, respectively.

In goal, the freshman duo of Jessica Gaudreault and Mary Campbell held IU's opponents to an average of six goals per game. Gaudreault tallied 19 total saves, and Campbell recorded 16.

In total, 13 different Hoosiers scored at least one goal during the weekend, and nine netted at least three scores.

IU will stay out west to train in Las Vegas during break before next weekend's competition. The Hoosiers will participate in the Lancer Invite on March 15 and the Aztec Invitational on March 16-17.
