Significant snowfall has caused the cancellation of IU's game Wednesday at Indiana State. An athletic department spokesman said rescheduling the Hoosiers' game against the Sycamores is to be determined.
Though Indiana State Baseball tweeted at 2:39 that they would wait and see until Wednesday morning, the spokesman confirmed via text message that he was told the game would not be played as originally scheduled. He said he does not know when the game will be rescheduled.
The Hoosiers are not the only Big Ten team with a game cancelled due to weather. The opening contest of Michigan State's first series Tuesday night against the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles was cancelled due to "storms blanketing the area." The two teams will try to play Wednesday afternoon at 4.
Nebraska's home game Tuesday against Northern Colorado was postponed, and the teams are slated to play a doubleheader beginning Wednesday at 1:05 p.m. Eastern time.
Penn State's game at the University of Houston is not likely to be affected.
No other teams had games scheduled for Tuesday.
