Indiana seniors Zach Mayhew and Andrew Bayer finished second and fourth, respectively, in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Friday. That was good enough for them each to qualify for the NCAA national meet next weekend.

Mayhew finished with a time of 30:43 over the 10K race while Bayer clocked in at 30:46. Junior Robby Nierman (32nd), sophomore Evan Esselink (33rd) and sophomore JR Ricker (36th) also scored for the Hoosiers.

The Hoosiers finished third as a team at the competition. The top two teams automatically qualify their squad for nationals, with thirteen other teams qualifying at-large. The NCAA will decide this weekend on the at-large teams based on the schools that finished third in each regional.
