Only one week after his decommittment from Iowa, four-star defensive end David Kenney has verbally committed to the Hoosiers, becoming the 11th member of IU's 2013 recruiting class.

The No. 7 ranked player in Indiana from Pike H.S., Kenney has long been an IU target. Despite his early pledge to the Hawkeyes in April, the Hoosiers continued to recruit him.

His commitment to IU comes following Saturday night's Hoosier Hysteria. Kenney attended the event and added the atmosphere was "amazing."

Kenney is now the second four-star commit in IU's 2013 class, joining Ben Davis H.S. safety Antonio Allen. According to Rivals.com, the Hoosiers have not had a multiple four-star prospect class since at least 2000.

In addition, IU continues to pursue several four-star prospects for the class, including recently undecided defensive tackle Darius Latham and Clemson commit and defensive end Elijah Daniel. Both attended Hoosier Hysteria as well, per Kenney.
