IU sophomore quarterback Tre Roberson left Saturday's game against Massachusetts in an ambulance with a left leg injury following a quarterback sneak in the second quarter.
With the Hoosiers up 24-6 and the ball on the UMass 5-yard line with about 8:20 remaining in the quarter, Roberson rushed the ball to the UMass 2-yard line. He did not get up. An ambulance drove on to the field, he was put onto a cart and was taken off by ambulance.
At the time of his departure from the game, Roberson was 6-for-11 passing with 98 yards, a touchdown and an interception. He also had rushed for 105 yards with two touchdowns.
First-year junior college transfer quarterback Cam Coffman took over for Roberson, and passed for 92 yards in the first half.
