IU Coach Tom Crean announced Thursday that the Hoosier men's basketball team will play an exhibition game against the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at Assembly Hall.
Last season, the Wildcats went 21-12 and won their fourth-straight Mid-Central Collegiate Conference championship.
This season will now be the ninth time that IU has opened its season with at least one exhibition game against a non-Division 1 program. The Hoosiers have fared 13-0 in these games, and eight of their opponents have come from inside the state of Indiana.
Crean's team will then open its regular season play eight days later on Nov. 9 against Bryant.
