Indiana redshirt freshman Kaila Hulls will miss the 2012-13 women's basketball season after suffering an ACL tear to her right knee during preseason conditioning.

Hulls tore the same ACL in October of 2011 while a member of Bowling Green State University's women's basketball team and was forced to sit out the entire 2011-12 season. She transferred to IU during the offseason.

"It is devastating to hear the diagnosis of another ACL injury for Kaila," Head Coach Curt Miller said in a press release. "She has worked relentlessly on getting back from her prior injury and has done everything asked of her by the doctors and training staff. She will attack her latest injury like a champion and we look forward to having her on the court during the 2013-14 season."

A native of Bloomington, Ind. and sister of IU men's basketball point guard Jordan Hulls, Kaila Hulls averaged 20 points and 11.7 rebounds as a senior at Bloomington South High School in 2011. She was also named to the Indiana All-Star team that season.
