Late Sunday night, Cypress Falls (Texas) High School senior Jacobi Hunter broke his own news of his college decision, making the call to join IU Coach Kevin Wilson and the Hoosier squad.

A 6-foot-1, 275-pound defensive lineman from Houston, Hunter is the ninth commitment for IU's 2013 recruiting class and the first defensive tackle commit in the group. He is a two-star prospect according to Rivals.com and 247sports.com, however received interest from multiple Division 1 programs. Hunter had scholarship offers at Baylor, Colorado State, Louisiana Tech and UTEP before accepting IU's offer.

During his junior year of play at Cypress Falls, Hunter compiled 59 tackles, forcing a fumble and a sack each on the season.

He will begin his senior campaign this Friday, when the Texas high school football season officially gets underway.
