Today, the football team released the first depth chart of the season. Check it out in full here.
As you can see, sophomore quarterback Tre Roberson is listed as the starter, which doesnt come to much of a suprise. At the running back position freshman Tevin Coleman has the top spot with junior Stephen Houston right behind him and sophomore D'Angelo Roberts in third.
In the three wide reciver positions, sophomore Shane Wynn, junior Kofi Hughes, and sophomore Cody Latimer are all at the top of their individual slots. Rounding out the recieving core is junior tight end Ted Bolser.
The offensive line shows a lot of youth protecting the QB. Three of the spots are decided, while two show the word "or" next to the players name, which means it is still up in the air. Freshman Jason Spriggs tops the left tackle spot, senior Will Matte at center, and sophomore Peyton Eckert at right tackle. Left guard has a battle between sophomore Bernard Taylor and freshman Dan Feeney. Finally, sophomores Colin Rahrig and Cody Evers are fighting it out for right guard.
On the defensive side of the ball, there isn't much uncertainty with positions. On the line (from left to right), Coach Kevin Wilson has sophomore Ryan Phillis, senior Larry Black Jr., senior Adam Replogle, and sophomore John Laihinen to round it out. Junior Jacarri Alexander, sophomore David Cooper, and sophomore Chase Hoobler will start at the linebacker positions. In the secondary (from left to right), sophomore Kenny Mullen as left cornerback, sophomore Mark Murphy and Drew Hardin as the safeties, and junior Lawrence Barnett as the right cornerback.
In special teams, junior Mitch Ewald as kicker, junior Mitchell Voss as punter, Wynn as the kick returner, and sophomore Nick Stoner as the punt returner.
