The wait is over.
The IU basketball team is back in the NCAA Tournament.
The Hoosiers were selected as a No. 4 seed and will play No. 13 seed New Mexico State in Portland during the first round on Thursday.
If IU advances on Thursday than it will play the winner of No. 5 seed Wichita State and No. 12 Virginia Commonwealth on Saturday.
IU is in the South region and if the Hoosiers make it past the first weekend, than they will head to Atlanta for the Sweet Sixteen on March 23.
This marks the first time since 2008 that IU will be playing in the NCAA Tournament. The Hoosiers lost to No. 9 seed Arkansas in the first round that year 86-72.
