Ten years ago, Mike Davis was at the helm of IU's run to the National Championship game. Now, the former IU coach is unemployed.

Davis was fired by the University of Alabama-Birmingham after six seasons. The six-year stint in Birmingham matched the length of his stint in Bloomington.

Davis, however, did not match the success he had while at IU. After leading the Hoosiers to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including the National Runner-up in 2001-02, Davis only led the Blazers to the NCAA Tournament once.

Another season below .500 marked the end for Davis. The Blazers failed to make it to the postseason for the second time in Davis' tenure.

According to ESPN.com's Andy Katz, Davis was fired for low ticket sales and attendance. Davis finished with a 122-72 record at UAB, giving him seven more wins than his time at IU.
