After dusting off the ranking cobwebs last week and earning their first ranking in four seasons, the Hoosiers climbed to No. 17 in the AP poll today.

The improvement came after IU bested Notre Dame 69-58 on Saturday in the Crossroads Classic at Conseco Fieldhouse. The win marked the third opponent the 10-0 Hoosiers have beaten that was in the NCAA Tournament last season.

IU remained No. 3 amongst Big Ten teams ranked in the AP poll behind No. 2 Ohio State and No. 13 Wisconsin and ahead of No. 19 Michigan State, No. 20 Michigan and No. 25 Illinois. With the Illinois loss to UNLV on Saturday, IU is now the last unbeaten team in the Big Ten.

The Hoosiers will take on Howard University at 6:30 p.m. tonight and University of Maryland-Baltimore County on Thursday at 6 p.m. If the Hoosiers were to win both games this week, it would be their first 12-0 mark since the undefeated 1975-76 season.
