After having a 16 point lead halfway through the first 20 minutes, Gardner Webb has hung around here at Assembly Hall trimming the lead to 34-23 at halftime.
Sophomore guard Victor Oladipo leads IU with 10 points as eight Hoosiers have scored. Bench contributions for the Hoosiers have come from junior forward Derek Elston's six points and senior guard Matt Roth knocking down a three pointer. Elston and Roth have IU's only two three-pointers on eight attempts.
Gardner Webb is hanging around via the three-pointer where four of their nine field goals have come.
IU has outscored Gardner Webb 12-2 in the paint and has out-rebounded them 18-11.
