I think that's a fair question after Kofi Hughes' postgame comments following IU's lopsided 59-7 loss at No. 4 Wisconsin on Saturday.

During his press conference, Wilson said: "I thought this week, one day our receivers had probably the worst practice I've seen since we've been here for a group. And they backed it up with their play today."

When I told Hughes about Wilson's comments and asked him what went wrong for the receivers in practice during the week, his face grew angry. To me, and this is just my opinion, Hughes' face said, "How could he say something like that?"

"I'm not really sure," Hughes responded. "I don't know."

And that was it. But I wonder if his tone and facial expressions mean something more. Wilson has never shied away from calling out his players, but with the way the Hoosiers have played in recent weeks, I'm beginning to wonder if he's still getting through to these guys -- especially the veterans.

The players certainly haven't shown many positive signs on the field during the last couple weeks. The offensive players look like they've never played together before. The wide receivers don't seem to work well with the quarterbacks, the quarterbacks don't seem to work well with the offensive line, and so forth.

To be frank, IU just doesn't look like a team right now. I think part of that has to do with the instability at the quarterback position, but not all of it. Remember the second half against Virginia? That was the one and only time the offense looked good all year. Why hasn't it looked that way again?

I don't have a ton of answers, but it is an interesting topic to ponder.

As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
