Minnesota guard Devoe Joseph has been suspended for the second time this season and will not play against IU on Tuesday night, Golden Gophers coach Tubby Smith said Monday.
Joseph, who averages 11.3 points per game this season, was previously suspended for the first six games of the season for a violation of team rules and academic issues.
"Devoe wasn't at practice for the last couple of days but that's the only issues that we've had so far," Smith said to the Star Tribune in Minneapolis. "He's working on some things he's got to work on ... some of everything. ... It could be [longterm]."
According to the Star Tribune, Joseph is also strongly considering transferring from Minnesota.
