Coach Felisha Legette-Jack earlier this season:
"I am begging this community to come out and see this team. This team has been working hard for four years doing all we can to make people understand that we need their support... I just think this community can do a better job of supporting these young women... If you have just a glimmer of passion for our program come out and support our team. This is a difference maker."
The women's basketball team is coming off their third straight win. The last one was against a ranked Nebraska team, but I'm sure a majority of people don't know this and probably aren't that interested.
Legette-Jack, her players and those that care about the program are hoping their recent success and hard work will help change your mind about the last part.
This year's women's basketball team has four seniors and one of the more passionate women's basketball coaches in the NCAA, and they are asking for your help.
The Hoosiers play 7 p.m. Thursday against Miami of Ohio at Assembly Hall. It's free for students. Keep a look out for more info about women's basketball here, and in the IDS.
