Sophomore goalkeeper Luis Soffner earned his first Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honor today.
The award came a day after Soffner tacked his third shutout of the season to his accomplishment list.
The Hoosiers beat the Michigan State Spartans 3-0 in East Lansing.
The shutout was Soffner's second against a ranked team during IU's 2010 campaign.
IU is currently 8-4-2 (3-0-1 Big Ten). They remain undefeated in Big Ten play. Their next conference match is against Northwestern on Sunday.
