Tonight, the Volleyball team opens their 2010 campaign at Georgia Tech at 7 p.m in the Georgia Tech Courtyard Marriott Classic.

It will be the first of three matches down in Atlanta as the Hoosiers are also facing UAB and Alabama A&M in the weekend tournament.

The Yellow Jackets received 13 votes in the AVCA Preseason Poll, ranking them No. 43 nationally.

The Hoosiers matchup with GT will be like a Big Ten atmosphere as the Gymnasium is set to be sold out.

IU has never faced Georgia Tech or UAB but beat Alabama A&M last year in the T.I.S. College Bookstore IU Invitational, winning three sets to none.

The Hoosiers lost just two players from last season to graduation.

The team returns with All-American senior middle blocker Ashley Benson and the former top-25 recruiting class as sophomores, which includes freshman All-Big Ten outside hitter Jordan Haverly.

This weekend will be a major test for the Hoosiers, but if they can prevail with three wins, it will start up a good resume for the NCAA tournament.
