Former NCCA and Compliance veteran Julie Cromer has been hired as the new senior associate athletics director. She takes the position of Mary Ann Rohleder, who is retiring this summer after 17 years. Cromer will join IU in early July.

Cromer was chosen out of 50 other applicants, and will start her position in early July.

NCAA Interim President Jim Isch had this to say about Cromer:

"During the last decade, academic reform has been a focus of our organization. Julie Cromer has played a major role in that effort. Her commitment to the well-being of student-athletes has been the hallmark of her time at the NCAA. The organization has moved forward because of her integrity and dedication to the principle that student-athletes can be both academically and athletically successful."
