The IU men's tennis team dominated 11-seed Michigan State 4-0 in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament Thursday afternoon.

The No. 44 Hoosiers (16-9) got singles wins from junior Santiago Gruter and sophomores Jeremy Langer and Will Kendall.

IU advances to play No. 3 seed Michigan at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

The Hoosiers dropped a 5-2 decision to the Wolverines on Sunday, but IU coach Randy Bloemendaal is confident his team can come through this time around.

"I thought we had them beat the first time," Bloemendaal said. "The guys know they just have to put themselves back in that position. But we play better outside and I think we are going to be better this time"
