The IU men's tennis team jumped from 47th to 40th in the latest edition of the ITA rankings this week.

The Hoosiers (9-3) boast their highest ranking of the year in large part because of their three road wins last week over Cleveland State, Central Florida and Fairleigh Dickinson.

IU will open the Big Ten season this weekend when it travels to Wisconsin to take on the No. 34 Badgers (Friday) and to Evanston, Ill. to play No. 45 Northwestern (Sunday). That match marks the beginning of a tough road stretch for the Hoosiers over the next several weeks. They'll be in West Lafayette to play to Boilers on April 2 before heading to Illinois to battle the No. 11 Fighting Illini.

It will be tough, but this four game stretch will tell us a lot about the Hoosiers and where they fit in the Big Ten picture this season.
