The Hoosiers offensive attack hammered out 17 hits during an 11-5 win over UMBC (3-7) on Friday afternoon. Freshman pitcher Walker Stadler received plenty of run support as he picked up his second win of the year.
Micah Johnson, Alex Dickerson, and Michael Basil each had three hits to lead the attack. Dickerson tagged his eighth home run of the year and Johnson with his first triple of his career.
Stadler (2-2) went five solid innings, giving up three runs on seven hits, while striking out seven and walking three. Jerry Kleman and Derek Roof combined to close out the game for IU.
