IU says Roth is out for season

This is simply a footnote to what Jordan already wrote, but we got an official statement from IU media relations Monday.

They say what Crean has already affirmed. We can all watch him warm-up before games but the questions as to whether he will be play is all but null at this point.

Here's the short statement we received about Roth:

Sophomore Matt Roth continues to recover from foot surgery and it is unlikely he will play in any remaining games this year.

And here's a fresh quote from Crean about the process they went through with Roth:

We rehabbed him in a way that would give him a chance if it healed totally to be able to come in and play. And I just don't think that he feels as comfortable with his foot right now, so there's no way you want to push that.
