When IU looked like it had a win, Devoe Joseph made sure his team would get another shot at the Hoosiers.

He used his midrange shot to hit consecutive shots, sending the game into overtime.

IU is taking steps to make sure that doesn't happen when it plays in "The Barn" on Saturday night.

"We have to defend, especially in transition," Crean said. "Their guards are outstanding shooters who can get on a hot streak and carry a team at any point in the game."

Joseph had 19 points against IU in Bloomington, and he went 3-of-6 from the 3-point line.

But he and Lawrence Westbrook aren't the only thing that IU will worry about when it faces Tubby's team.

It has also worked toward slowing down the bigger lineup that Minnesota has sent into the game at times.

Against IU, Ralph Sampson III scored 17 points and grabbed five rebounds.

He earned his points at the strip, going 11-of-15.

The IDS' Jordan Cohen touched on the recent production coming from the IU bigs.

A lot of Sampson's buckets came on second-chance scores, and Crean said he expects to see his team work on the glass.

"I think it is important to have the mindset that we are going to have to be aggressive on the boards to be successful," he said.

Minnesota beat Wisconsin 41-28 on the glass in its last game.

IU will have to rebound to quell the Minnesota attack on the inside and ensure an opportunity to get its second road win of the Big Ten season.
