The IU women's basketball team hopes to rebound from Sunday's loss at No. 5 Ohio State with a home victory against Northwestern at 7 p.m. today.

A few quick hits as the Hoosiers (10-8, 3-4) clash with the Wildcats (12-6, 3-4):

  • IU leads the all-time series with Northwestern 33-28.
  • The Hoosiers claimed both meetings with the Wildcats in the 2008-09 season, winning the Dec. 20, 2008 game in Bloomington 81-57 and the Feb. 19, 2009 contest in Evanston 85-67.
  • IU coach Felisha Legette-Jack says Northwestern is "much better than they were last year" and "precise." The Wildcats have shot at a collective .420 field goal percentage this season, fourth-best in the Big Ten.
  • Northwestern also is third in the conference in rebounding margin, entering today's game at +4.7, and rank second in assists with a 16.67 per-game average.
  • Junior center Amy Jaeschke, a Second Team All-Big Ten selection last season, leads the Wildcats in scoring with 15.3 points-per-game and rebounding with 7.3 boards-per-game. Jaeschke also leads the Big Ten with 3.56 blocked shots-per-game.
  • IU senior guard Jamie Braun now stands 10th all-time on the IU career scoring list with 1,432 career points. Braun moved into the Top-10 with her 11 points in Columbus last Sunday.
  • Robbie Levin previews the game in The Daily Northwestern.
