IU showed no mercy against a weaker opponent, routing the University of Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks 80-46 to improve to 6-3 on the year.

It was the Hoosiers' largest margin of victory, most points scored and least points allowed in any game this season.

Four players reached double figures, led by junior guard Jori Davis with 19 points. The Hoosiers held a seven-rebound edge, forcing 17 turnovers and shooting 55.6 percent from the 3-point line.

UT-Martin was led in scoring by junior forward Alecia Weatherly with 13 points.

Read tomorrow's paper for a full wrap of tonight's game.

Halftime:

As expected IU is having little trouble with a much smaller UT-Martin game and leads 43-24 at the half.

Pacing the team in scoring is junior captain and guard Jori Davis with 16 points. While Davis is the only double figures scorer for the Hoosiers, eight of the 10 IU players who have seen the court have scored at least two points.

Also the rebounding department which has generally been a major weakness this year is IU's strong point tonight as they lead 23-15 on the boards. The Hoosiers are also cooking from the floor shooting 54.5% for the half and have forced the Skyhawks into 13 turnovers.

Pregame:

We are about five minutes from IU taking on University of Tennessee-Martin of the Ohio Valley Conference. The Skyhawks come in with a 1-5 record with their only win against Houston-Baptist.

IU is 5-3 on the year and coming off a big road win at #21/24 Michigan State on Sunday by a score of 68-63.

One interesting note about this Skyhawk team is their jerseys are identical in color to those of Big Ten rival Illinois. If I didn't see the "Tennessee Martin" written on them I would have thought IU was playing the Illini
