Four Big Ten teams have reached the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship.
Top-seeded Penn State, Illinois, Minnesota and Michigan all won their first two matches of the tournament to advance to the second weekend of play, which begins Friday, Dec. 11.
Each team cruised to victories in the first round, and Penn State, Illinois and Minnesota did the same in the second. Michigan had to overcome a 0-2 deficit to Ohio to advance.
Ohio State also made the 64-team field but lost in the second round.
