I thought I'd leave two stats for the day. A little bit random, but I think they are blog post worthy. Obviously, there will be more coverage coming of the IU-Wisconsin game (see game recap here).
Anyways, on to the stats.
Stat No. 1: With Ben Chappell's 323 passing yards (combined with struggles/injuries by Big Ten-leading quarterbacks Darryl Clark and Ricky Stanzi), Chappell moves into second place in the conference in passing yards with 2,377. He trails only Purdue QB Joey Elliott who has 2,448 passing yards this season.
Stat No. 2: While only two games remain for Big Ten football teams (three for Illinois), all 11 teams are still eligible to qualify for a bowl. Five teams are currently bowl eligible, while the other six still have work to do to qualify. Michigan, Michigan State, and Minnesota need just one win, while Purdue, Indiana and Illinois need to win out the season.
What are your thoughts on today's game?on Ben Chappell's numbers? on the Big Ten's bowl possibilities - does anyone deserve to play in the Rose Bowl?
More to come on the IU-Wisconsin game.
