For the third time this volleyball season, IU freshman outside hitter Jordan Haverly is the Big Ten Freshman of the Week.

Haverly earned her third such accolade of 2009 for her efforts in the Hoosiers' weekend sweep of Wisconsin and Iowa to finish the season. She led the team in kills both nights, registering 22 putaways at a .333 clip against the Badgers and 19 at a .531 percentage against the Hawkeyes.

She also posted three total blocks and a service ace against Wisconsin.

The Cherry Valley, Ill. native earned her first honor the week of Sept. 14 and her second the weekend of Oct. 3.

Haverly's 446 terminations this season break the freshman single-season kills mark of 398 set by Erica Short in 2005, according to a press release from IUHoosiers.com.
