Texas Tech basketball coach Pat Knight, a former IU player and son of former IU coach Bob Knight, visited Purdue practice with his staff on Tuesday, the Indianapolis Star reported.

Knight has been friends with Purdue coach Matt Painter since the two were AAU teammates in high school. Painter went to Delta High School near Muncie while Knight is a Bloomington North graduate.

"He is a good friend of mine, and it was good to see him," Painter told the Lafayette Journal and Courier.

"I've always admired what his dad (Bob) has done and what Pat has been able to do as an assistant for his dad and then taking over at Texas Tech. They always send me tapes when I ask for stuff."

The two have discussed playing a game at a neutral site, possibly Dallas or Indianapolis.

What do you guys think Knight hanging out at Purdue practice?
