The IU volleyball team looks to rebound from yesterday's loss at No. 12 Illinois with a win at 6 p.m. today against Northwestern.
A few quick facts as the Hoosiers (13-6, 2-3) clash with the Wildcats (10-7, 1-4):
- IU owns a 31-25 advantage in the all-time series, but Northwestern has a slight edge in Evanston, 13-11.
- The Hoosiers won both meetings with the Wildcats in 2008. They first claimed a road victory in five sets Oct. 24 by scores of 23-25, 25-23, 27-29, 25-18 and 15-10, and then they took the Nov. 22 contest in Bloomington in four sets by scores of 20-25, 27-25, 25-18 and 25-20.
- IU junior middle blocker Ashley Benson broke the school single-season blocks record, previously set at 155 by Mandy Eberle, in the two schools' most recent meeting last November.
- Northwestern junior middle blocker Sabel Moffett is the fourth-most efficient hitter in the Big Ten, converting at a .412 percentage on the season. Benson stands right behind her in fifth at a .406 clip.
The Hoosiers will kick off Hoosier Hysteria with their next match against Iowa, which begins at 5:30 p.m. Friday in Assembly Hall.
