So, I normally try to find news outlets for predictions on the football games, but this week most of the game predictions are from blogs. Here's what the blog world (and a few others) thinks will happen tomorrow in Evanston. What are your thoughts? Who wins the IU-Northwestern game?
IU 24, Northwestern 21 - Hammer and Rails Blog: "Northwestern has two too close for comfort wins over winless MAC teams and their lone conference victory took six fumbles to squeeze out."
Northwestern 27, IU 24 - WNUR Sports (Northwestern Radio): "If Kafka and the receivers can continue to be efficient, and the running game somehow finds breaths of life, they should match up well with the Hoosiers."
Northwestern 30, IU 22 - WLKY Louisville: "The Wildcats have the edge since they are playing at home and Kafka's ability to make plays with his arm and feet should make the difference for Northwestern."
Northwestern 30, IU 28 - Bleacher Report: "The 'Cats' D has been rather successful creating big plays as of late and can likely do just enough to put NU over the top."
IU 28, Northwestern 24 - IDS News: "If junior quarterback Ben Chappell has half the game he had last week, the Hoosiers should be in prime position for a win."
Northwestern 21, IU 14 - blogcritics.org: "I hate to say it, but who really cares about this game?"
Northwestern 14, IU 10 - Fanhouse.com: "I don't trust Ben Chappell as much as I trust Mike Kafka. But I don't trust Mike Kafka all that much."
Northwestern 27, IU 24 - ESPN.com's Big Ten Blog: "Both Chappell and Kafka throw for multiple touchdown passes, but Northwestern's defense forces a key turnover down the stretch as the Wildcats hold on at home."
Those were all the predictions I found from my decently thorough weekly Google search for game predictions. Six of the eight predictions favor the Wildcats. Of course, last week six of the seven predictions I linked to chose Illinois to beat the Hoosiers. What is your prediction?
