At halftime, the Hoosiers lead the Fighting Illini 13-7 thanks to a touchdown pass by IU junior quarterback Ben Chappell and two field goals by freshman kicker Nick Freeland.

Chappell found sophomore wide receiver Damarlo Belcher from 29-yards out for the score.

IU left points on the board twice in the half, as Freeland missed kicks of 38 and 32 yards, respectively.

Chappell is 17-30 with 236 yards and a touchdown.
