The opening weekend of the men's tennis season is usually about the freshmen and other youngsters that are trying to prove themselves for the first time.

This weekend, it has been about the IU freshmen.

Josh MacTaggart (United Kingdom) and Isade Juneau (Quebec) advanced to the championship match in the Hoosier flight singles. They will square off against one another at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow morning on the IU Varsity Courts.

Junior Santiago Gruter has also played well this weekend as he advanced to tomorrow morning's IU flight championship by defeating Robert Hall of Louisville. He will face Xavier's Bobby Deye at 9:30 a.m. on the Varsity Courts.

Come out and see the championship action or check back here tomorrow for more information on the IU Invitational. For an extended story about this weekend's tennis, pick up Monday's edition of The Indiana Daily Student.
