Not that I have to tell any of you, but the IU baseball team just finished off a completely dominant week that saw them win four straight games by eight or more runs on the way to their first Big Ten Tournament title in 13 years.
Matt Igel pitched five strong innings before giving way to Chris Squires, who shut out Minnesota over the final four frames. The Hoosiers made Minnesota pay for the Gophers' defensive mistakes early and piled the runs on as the game wore on, winning 13-2, their largest margin of victory in the tournament.
The Hoosiers left little doubt, really. They had easily the best bats, arms and gloves of any team in the tournament. So complete was IU's dominance that they outscored opponents 47-9 over their four-game run.
IU's offense also set a new tournament record, batting .414 on the week. The Hoosiers become the first team to hit over .400 throughout a Big Ten Tournament.
I'll have coverage up on the Web site soon, but I encourage all of you to get a conversation going in our comments section, I'm sure you have plenty to say.
