Eric Arnett. Matt Bashore. Josh Phegley.

Their names just keep on appearing, and so do new awards. But a new name was added to the award's list.

Freshman Alex Dickerson led all conference freshman with his 14 longballs and 52 RBI to earn him Big Ten Freshman of the year honor. Dickerson is the first Hoosier to earn the freshman honor. His 14 home runs also set a new IU freshman record.

Arnett added Big Ten co-Pitcher of the Year to his list of titles. The junior ace is the first pitcher in school history to take home the honor. His 93 season Ks are fourth-most in school history. He had held a perfect 7-0 record in Big Ten games.

Named to the first team, Phegley is the first player to earn first team honors in consecutive seasons since Vasili Spanos did it in 2002 and 2003. Phegley tied the conference lead with 17 home runs. His 62 RBI slot him second in the conference along with his slugging (.672). Phegley also is seventh in the conference in runs, second in walks, and fourth in on-base percentage.

Leading the conference with a 2.36 ERA, Bashore took home his second consecutive all-conference selection. Bashore earned second-team honors.

Junior Kipp Schutz collected a first-team honor after scoring nine runs and 10 RBI in the last 15 games.

Dickerson and sophomore Jerrud Sabourin are also on the second team. Sabourin has not missed a game since his start at first on the second game of the 2008 season. Sixth in the conference in hits, Sabourin collected 74 knocks on the season.

Earning third team honors, Chris Squires has a 1.38 ERA. Squires's seven saves place him third in the Big Ten. Fellow pitcher Blake Monar was named to the All-Freshman team. Monar finished sixth in the conference with a 4.82 ERA.

The Hoosier honorees helped the team to a No. 3 seed, the highest seed since 2000. The team takes on Purdue in its first game of the Big Ten Tournament.
