The College Baseball Foundation's inagural Mizuno Pitcher of the Year award watchlist has been narrowed to five names, and Eric Arnett is one of them.

Arnett, who's stellar junior campaign has vaulted the Hoosiers into serious Big Ten title contention, is joined by Deck McGuire of Georgia Tech, highly-touted San Diego State fireballer Stephen Strasburg, Arizona State's Mike Leake and A.J. Morris from Kansas State.

Arnett went 12-1 in 13 starts with a 2.58 ERA hile striking out 103 batters in 101 innings and holding opposing batters to a .212 average.

The right-hander went seven strong innings in the Hoosiers' first Big Ten Tournament game Wednesday, a 9-1 win over Purdue.
