Despite seven well-pitched innings from IU freshman Blake Monar, the Hoosiers lost a defensive battle to Ohio State 2-0.
The Hoosiers are now 7-13 on the season.
Monar struck out six Buckeye batters while only giving up four hits and two walks. Unfortunately for IU, the OSU pitcher was equally as dominant. Alex Wimmers struck out 14 batters while giving up just five hits in a complete game.
The final matchup for IU over spring break will be against Central Connecticut State, Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
