IU entertains Anderson University on Friday at Assembly Hall, below are some quick facts about the first team the new look Hoosiers will compete against.
* Team Name: Ravens
* Last season they went 15-12, with a 6-7 road record. They must have had a lot of close games, they averaged around 75 points per game while their opponents averaged right around 74.
* 6-5 junior forward Ryan Fultz is the teams returning leading scorer. He averaged 13.3 points per game last year. Fultz averaged 4.3 rebounds per game last season as well, also tops for returning players.
* For those curious to see how the Hoosiers will fare against taller foes, this will not be a good indication. Anderson has just one guy on the roster at 6-8, and he's 180 pounds. (A freshman by the name of Taylor Williams. Anyone from South Bend remember him?)
* Everyone on their roster hails from the state of Indiana.
* This season they were picked to finish second in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll.
That is what I picked up from their website, but i'll be honest - I don't have the slightest idea what this team looks like or plays like. Are there any Anderson die hards, or anyone who has seen this team in action out there that can shed some light on who exactly IU is playing against Friday? Any names on that roster look familiar from high school?
