After a 2-0 victory against No. 8 Northwestern, senior goalkeeper Chay Cain was rewarded for his efforts as the Big Ten named him Defensive Player of the Week. Cain recorded three saves during Friday's shutout, only the sixth time this year the Hoosiers limited opponents to zero goals.

This is the fourth time in Cain's career he has been honored and the second time this season. The first was on Sept. 15 after IU came back from a California trip having defeated both UCLA and San Diego, 3-0 and 2-1 respectively.

Cain will put his defensive ability on the line on Thursday as IU travels to Wisconsin for the first round of the Big Ten Tournament. The No. 3 seeded Hoosiers will take on No. 6 Ohio State.
