Saturday's performance in Champaign was just plain awful. No offense. No defense. No nothing.

I definitely had higher expectations because practice last week was unlike any other. The players seemed very upbeat and positive, even though Lynch ran things more authoritatively. Mistakes weren't permitted. The Hoosiers showed no signs of missing Lewis, but when they made the 3 hour trip to Illinois, everything changed.

The coaching staff, once again, did not bring their 'A' game to the table. Saying IU's play calling was poor would be an understatement. In the beginning of the game especially, Lynch didn't allow Chappell to pass and opted for the run. Chappell hadn't developed a rhythm and he was off the rest of the game.

I understand we don't have a Juice Williams caliber quarterback. But IU should be able to put up more than 28 points in three games, right?

Can someone please tell me why offensive coordinator Matt Canada has survived three coaching terms? Former wide receiver James Hardy might have made Canada look like a genius with the constant fade passes; however, his overall track record isn't noteworthy at all. The main problem this season is the Hoosiers inability to move the chains on third down conversations. I can't tell you how many times Lynch parrots that. This offense has no identity, so please give it one.

You play offensive coordinator. If you were in charge of play calling this season, what would you do differently?
