After a 1-0 victory over the Cardinals, coach Mike Freitag, goalkeeper Chay Cain, and forward/midfielder Andy Adlard talked about the win.

After only recording two shots in the first half, the Hoosiers rebounded in the second with 11.

"If we look at our first half performance, we're all a bit disappointed," Cain said. "You expect the intensity of the previous game to carry through the first whistle. It took us 45 minutes to find it. At the end of the day, we did find it. That's the intensity we needed."

Adlard, who scored the winning goal off a penalty kick, said Louisville proved to be a difficult opponent at first.

"They were patient, and they knew exactly when to close down," Adlard said. "They would come with two or three people supporting them. You got to be ready to play quick."

Riding a two-game winning streak, the Hoosiers are feeling confident about the four remaining games.

"I think (the changes the team has made) are permanent," Freitag. "I think we've made mistakes and learned from them. This team right now is focused."

Cain recorded two saves in the game, which tested his defensive attentiveness.

"It's my job to keep everybody organized, keep them off the scoreboard and keep us in the game," Cain said. "We've been emphasizing a lot of team defense after restarts. If we're not playing well, the one thing we can do is play defense and talk."

Freitag said one big difference within the team is their ability to pick up each other's slack.

"You can trust your brother and love your brother but he may steal your girlfriend," Freitag said. "These guys love each other and trust each other, but they still make mistakes."

The Hoosiers will play at Ohio State on Sunday at 12 p.m.
