The IU women's basketball team came out to take pictures and answer questions from the media on Wednesday. Although assistant coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson said their goals were a secret, senior Amber Jackson said they definitely wanted to make it to the NCAA tournament after bowing out in the WNIT last year.

Here are some quotes from coaches and players:

Felisha Legette-Jack-Head Coach

On her seniors-Whitney Thomas, Kim Roberson, Amber Jackson, and Lydia Serfling

"Every game we go out is in honor of them because if they can sustain it, go out there and do what they go everyday, it makes our job a lot easier. I hope we go out there and represent them well."

On the strengths of the team

"Our oneness if that's a word or not. We have a tendency to be a hard team to scout... I think that all of us can step up and be great on any given day; I think that's going to be a very difficult challenge for our opponents. I think that's a strength of our ability to all step up on any given day."

Amber Jackson-Senior Forward

On her fellow seniors

"We are all really excited about this season. It's our last go-around, this is it for us, we have to give it our all. Hopefully that will turn out for the best and we really want to have a successful season"

On the team as a whole

"From the freshmen all through the seniors we have been working very hard. I'm proud of all of us. We have been giving it everything we have for one another, not just for our individual goals for one another. Were all about the team this year and doing it for one another."

Katie Abrahamson-Henderson-Associate Head Coach

On the recent preparation and outlook for the team this year

"It's been very exciting. We are a veteran team and everyone is back and we added many talented freshmen. There is a lot of good energy on the team. Everyone is in shape, so it's going to be a fun team to watch this year."

On what attracted her to come to IU

"Felisha Legette-Jack. And obviously its Indiana, it's a great school, a big ten, I played in the big ten. It's a great opportunity to work with Coach Jack again because I worked with her at Michigan State."

Any thoughts on women's hoops? Will you be attending a women's basketball game this year?
