Live blog to commence shortly before kickoff. For now, a little preview.
Illinois (3-3, 1-2)
The Illini fell to Minnesota on Saturday in their homecoming game. This isn't necessarily the same team that shocked the Big Ten a season ago, but they still have Juice Williams. Now I know, I would have rolled my eyes last year at that statement too, thinking Kellen Lewis is basically a better Juice, but the kid has a pair of legs. And an ability to run has really hurt the Hoosiers this year with quarterbacks extending plays and making timely passes out of the pocket.
But more importantly, Juice can hurt the Hoosiers after he crosses the line of scrimmage. In two of their last three contests the Hoosier run 'D' has let up 229 against Iowa and 236 against Michigan State, respectively.
Williams ranks fourth in the nation in total yards.
Kellen Lewis
The starting lineup issued to the press has Lewis OR Chappell as the starting quarterback, so at this point your guess as to whether Lewis plays is as good as mine.
You'll remember Lewis went down in the Iowa game in what coach Bill Lynch said was a high-ankle sprain. Lewis was in a protective boot this week during practice.
