I just got off the phone with JD Campbell, spokesman for the IU basketball team. He gave me a prepared statement from coach Crean informing us that Jordan Crawford will be transferring from IU to another school.

"Jordan Crawford and his family informed us today that he will not return to Indiana University," Crean said in a statement.

Crean and the team had no further comment Campbell said.

This leaves IU with two returning players for next season - senior Kyle Tabor and sophomore walk-on Brett Finkelmeier. IU has a 10-man recruiting class which includes 3 walk-on players and a transfer who will not be able to play next season. It's shaping up to be an ugly season for Hoosier fans.

Where Crawford goes is anyone's guess. He seemed like if he developed the right way he may have a chance to play in the NBA. Some early options could be IU North, I mean Detroit, to join former assistant coach Ray McCallum. Another option could be Kentucky where Crawford's brother, Joe, played. We will keep you updated as we learn more.
