Former IU coach Bobby Knight was on the Jay Leno show tonight. Here are the highlights.

After coming out in a ref's jersey, Leno asked if Knight had a plan what to do next: "I was thinking about it, and I was trying to decide what i want to do. Something easy. there are fat guys who referees, there are slow guys that referee. Hell, some of them don't even know the rules."

Why he left Texas Tech: "I spent a lot of time with the game and I got to the point where I said I had enough."

Talked about how he wanted to turn over the reigns to Pat. Knight said that there is a huge difference between being a head coach and an assistant coach, so Pat needed the time to adjust going into next season. He discussed the decision with Pete Newell, one of Knight's mentors, and thought it would be a good idea.

Will Knight ever return to coaching? "You never know. I don't think you can say never or always."

On what he does with his free time: Knight gardens (by shooting rabbits) ' "I slide around the shrubbery."

Great exchange between Knight and Leno when asked how Pat's style is different: BK: "I think he will get along better with the press" JL: "I think Hitler got along better with the press." (Crowd laughs) BK: "Well, they got that bastard in the end." (Crowd erupts)

Knight had some good back and forth with Larry the Cable Guy, the other guest on Leno. Overall, it was a pretty solid interview.
